Vincent Calenzo, The Garden, 2006

The artist writes “If Adam and Eve were the first two people on earth, The Garden represents the last. Sin (snake) is no longer an external influence but rather something fully internalized and part of us. Killing and consumption have no doubt darkened the landscape while the Eye impartially observes, taking notes, ready to try again.” Calenzo’s paintings are fascinating and I’m so happy to include his work in the July 2020 exhibition ‘Street Stories’ that I’m curating at https://www.brassworksgallery.com/
