Jeremy Geddes, A Perfect Vacuum, 2011

“There is no set ‘reason’ why the scene I have painted is taking place, and consequently there is no easy way to contextualize it. I am interested in creating the work and then saying no more about it.” Geddes lets us viewers fill in the narrative. It is as if he has painted a single frame from a movie and we are left to construct the plot of the film.
