Hergert states “My wife Robin and I decided to walk every street on the east side of Portland, one neighborhood at a time. One day we encountered this scrapper guy who was sawing wood with a skillsaw between his legs (keep in mind that I get nervous just holding one of those saws). Meanwhile, his wife was sitting on the porch stairs, just as you see her, except she was 300lbs, so I made an editorial decision. The infant had an obvious load in his diaper that was nearly touching the ground.”
