We couldn’t find any criticism on Vdovenko’s work, but we do know that he is a Russian digital painter who trades in the stuff of our nightmares. He has painted several scenes with the title ‘Aliens’ where a suited-up alien team drags and whips around human cadavers just like tossing brush on the burn pile. In this scene the team seems to be taking away specimens without the solemnity us humans normally employ when working with the dead. All these scenes are set in post-apocalyptic cityscapes at night, lit by garish headlights. Chilling.
