The artist explains that this painting “shows a scene in which random beach goers (we’re not sure if they know each other) find a strange creature, probably from the nearby ocean. They are not sure if they will rescue or kill it – is it a threat? Or does it need help? Who is good and who is evil? All this happens behind a beach house, where nobody (except the viewer) can see it… Often my paintings have no beginning and no end. You simply get thrown into the scene and need to orientate.”
