One might assume there to be a fairy tale about a fairy seller in Germanic legends from the Black Forest, but this fairy seller is entirely the artist’s invention. Heidersdorf explains “She catches the wee tiny fluttering kind and stuffs them into lightbulb bottles growing from her head-branches. All of this makes much sense.”
